We are seeking a high calibre candidate to join our business as a Qualitative Researcher. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills as a research professional and work on a wide variety of projects.
You will be working with a small experienced team who are well known throughout the industry. This is a new role supporting our qualitative projects and the successful candidate will be working on high profile, strategic research projects alongside the senior team from day one.
The candidate should have 5 years’ experience working as a qualitative researcher and skills in a variety of qualitative research techniques – depth interviews, focus groups, mini-ethnographies, quali-hall and others. We are seeking a candidate who can hit the ground running and develop research materials (including recruitment specifications, stimulus, discussion guides and debrief documents), moderate qualitative research sessions, analyse qualitative data and respond to qualitative research briefs to win new business.
We are a small organisation and the successful candidate will be expected to work across all areas of the business with determination and enthusiasm. The candidate will also have the chance to contribute to the wider work of the business and use qualitative insights to understand how social or consumer trends are changing.
Additional skills and interests should be highlighted by the candidate for evaluation. Examples might include languages, graphic or web design, blogging, wider social media engagement and the use of Google Analytics or social listening programmes.

Proposal writing and responding to qualitative research briefs
Qualitative research project management, including development of research materials, research moderation and analysis
Developing and delivering debriefs to clients
Ad hoc contribution to wider projects and our trends subscription service, Signal.
Essential Skills / Experience
- 5 years’ experience as a qualitative researcher, including demonstrable experience in qualitative responsibilities outlined above
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong project management and organisational skills (working to deadlines will be crucial to this role).
- Excellent and fluent written and spoken English (candidates invited in for interview will be assessed).
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a busy environment and the ability to take on a wide range of general business tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required.
- MS Office Literate.
Salary: £35k p.a. (subject to skills and experience)
Contract type: Full Time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Benefits: Season Ticket Loan and 25 days paid holiday per annum
Hours: Full time, 9.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. (With a degree of flexibility for out of hours qualitative research).
