Job Overview

We are seeking a high calibre candidate to join our business as a Senior Analyst.  The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills as a research and futures professional.  We will provide you with training to enhance your research and analytical skills and help you with your own professional personal development.  You will be working with a small experienced team who are well known throughout the Futures industry.  The directors of the business specialise in a wide range of trends analysis and futures techniques, and use these to help our clients develop strategy and innovate.

Person Specification

The candidate must be a graduate with a good honours degree (with at least two years experience and/or potentially experienced in another field and looking for a change in career).  The successful candidate will be an all rounder with strong numerical skills and excellent written and verbal skills.  They should be confident dealing with people internally and externally.  In addition to analysis, the successful candidate will be required to write proposals for prospective clients, attend pitches for new business and manage projects.

We are a small organisation and the successful candidate will be expected to work across all areas of the business with determination and enthusiasm. Additional skills and interests should be highlighted by the candidate for evaluation in the context of business priorities. Examples might include languages, graphic or web design, blogging, wider social media engagement and the use of Google Analytics or social listening programmes.

We are a relatively new business (established in September 2008).  Our board of directors have a track record of providing strategic advice to major blue chip clients stretching back more than 25 years.  We are experts in analysing and forecasting social and consumer trends and we help our clients understand how their consumers and markets are changing and how they can benefit from that change.  We also run an international consumer insight service across 20 markets combining proprietary data and analysis with major trends and their manifestations in different markets. Our client credentials are excellent and we work with clients in several different countries looking at consumer trends across the globe.

Qualifications:

  • Good Honours Degree
  • MS Office Literate
  • SPSS experience desirable but not essential

Job Specifics

Reports to:      Chief Executive

Location:         Enterprise House, 1-2 Hatfields, London, SE1 9PG (Southwark)

Salary:             £25 – £30,000 depending on experience

Contract:         Initial fixed term six month contract (with a view to the role being made permanent upon successful completion of contract).

Benefits:          Season Ticket Loan and 25 days paid holiday per annum

Hours:              9.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. (With a degree of flexibility for out of hours qualitative research)
