Our eating habits have changed drastically in recent years, increasingly unbound by certain times and spaces. The majority of those sampled as part of the project’s primary research stated that their working hours are irregular, changing or unpredictable, changing the way many eat.
The times at which we eat are changing accordingly, with breakfast blurring into lunch, and lunch into dinner, allowing the growth of new mealtimes like brunches, late lunches and early dinners.
Looking forward, this report examines the contemporary state of our daily rhythms, market dynamics and consumer culture in order to anticipate the changes facing the industry in the years to come.
